The Cadillac Window Regulators for the 2000-2005 Deville use a cable regulator attached to a motor. The motor is seldom a problem. When the regulator breaks the glass may fall into the door and you may hear a crunching, grinding sound. Many of the aftermarket replacement regulators include the motor. Now you might think, I may as well replace the entire assembly. After all, the original motor in your door is 15 years old. Incorrect. DO NOT replace the window motor if you do not have to. The Mexico made OEM window motors are fantastic. They have not been a problem. The CHINA made aftermarket motors are not nearly the same quality.
The rear doors sometimes have a problem with the wiring harness between the door and the frame of the vehicle. If you are not getting any power to the window try adjusting the wiring harness by hand, see if that makes a difference.
