Power Window Repair – Ford Explorer/Mercury Mountaineer 2002-

This was a complete changeover from the 2001. The windows use a cable regulator/motor assembly. They are installed as one unit. The cables can come off the metal clips that are riveted to the sash (track) on the glass. When that happens you may hear a crunching grinding sound and the glass will fall into the door. You can not repair the regulator, you will need a new replacement. The inside and outside door handles have not been a problem.

Well let me tell you. First I went to the local Chevy dealer. Now I been going to them for many years. They wanted to charge me over $600 for my Cadillac STS Driver window (regulator).
